#tuesdayshoesday – Chronology Headwear Black Onyx Strap Hat & *NEW* Praying Mantis Neon Green Strap X Adidas ZX Flux

Featuring our all-new “Praying Mantis” Neon Green Strap in this week’s #tuesdayshoesday, we went graffiti hunting in Hollywood in search of quality, bold street art.

And bold, neon graffiti we found. Inspired by this week’s sneakers, the Adidas ZX Flux, with their full-color spectrum gradient and dripping graffiti vibes. The colors on the walls match impeccably.

“Today is further affirmation that graffiti is without question the most powerful art movement in recent history,” says Marc Ecko.

I’ve always been fascinated with street art. I researched and compared different forms of street art in college for a writing class. With a persuasive tone, I attempted to convince my professor and classmates that graffiti has the ability to actually enhance the world we live in. Beautiful, well-done graffiti can bring a wall to life that would otherwise be boring and bland. Yes, the fact that most graffiti is not legal and is destroying somebody else’s property is a strong argument against support for it, but the focus was on the art’s influence, not the legality of it all. Destroying other’s property isn’t typically a cool thing to do. Many businesses will actually hire professional artists to paint their walls.
